TODAY, A BAR in Co Clare became the first pub in Ireland to receive a Michelin Star.
The Wild Honey Inn in Lisdoonvarna shares the honour with 11 other Irish restaurants, including the uber-fancy Chapter One, L’Ecrivan, and Restaurant Patrick Gilbaud.
If you’re anything like us, you’ll want a gawk at the food – and we’re pleased to inform you it looks a) actually like food and b) delicious.
There’s lovely lamb
Eyeing up those roasties now TBH.
Tashty shteak
Gizabittahdah.
Eh… smoked eel
You’d have to give it a go.
Foamy scallops
Sounds wrong… Looks so right.
The most elegant French toast we’ve ever seen
A Michelin-starred brunch! You’d be high on delicious notions for weeks.
A cute little sticky toffee pudding
Stop, we’re starving.
And delicate strawberry jelly
You’re never too fancy for jelly and ice cream. Never.
With a three-course menu going for €40-50 per person, it’s not the most expensive spot to indulge in a slap-up meal. Whether you’ll be actually able to get in the door now is a different story. Congratulations, Wild Honey Inn!
